Martin Rhees was born in Boise, Idaho, raised in Redlands, California, and lives in Los Angeles as a freelance musician. He holds the degrees of Bachelor of Music in Horn Performance as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Instrumental Music Education from CSU Fullerton. Mr. Rhees completed post-graduate work at the University of Southern California earning a Master of Music degree in Horn Performance.

Martin Rhees has performed with many symphony orchestras including: the Chicago Symphony, Los Angeles Philharmonic, Honolulu Symphony, and Grant Park (IL) Symphony. He has held positions with: the Illinois Symphony, Lake Forest (IL) Symphony, and Woodstock (IL) Mozart Festival. As a brass chamber musician, he has performed with the Millar Brass Ensemble (IL), Hollywood Cinema Brass, Huis Ten Bosch Brass (Japan), and the Dallas Brass. Martin has performed with Frank Sinatra Jr., Tony Bennett, Natalie Cole, and Manheim Steamroller. As a recording musician, he has worked in all of the major studios such as 20th Century Fox, Universal, Warner Brothers, and Paramount.

Martin and his wife Kayoko are the proud new parents of triplets… two girls and a boy. This was in addition to their “first child” their Wire Haired Fox Terrier, Buck.
